H. M. Robertson, a former resident of Waveland and well known school teacher of Montgomery County for a number of years, was accidentally shot at Hardesty, Albert, Canada yesterday morning and died soon afterward. No details of the shooting are obtainable and it is not known whether he was accidentally shot by himself or by someone else. Fred Robertson, of Brazil, a brother left at once for Hardesty. Before going he wired the authorities of Hardesty to have the body embalmed and interred. After he gets there he will most likely have the body taken up and the remains returned to Waveland and buried in the family burial plot. Eight years ago the deceased went to Albert< Canada where he took up a claim within two miles of Hardesty where he has since resided. A nephew was living with him on his farm. Mr. Robertson was 45 and unmarried. While he resided in Waveland he was an active Church member and Christian gentleman. The news of his sudden death was a shock to his many friends and former associates in this place. His father, the late Zacharius Robertson died only a short time ago in Waveland. The deceased is survived by 4 brothers: James Robertson, owner & manager of the Waveland Telephone Co and Thomas Robertson of Waveland; Fred of Brazil, Ind and John of Detroit Mi; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Butcher of Portland Mills, Ind. The following telegram was sent to Fred Robertson, agent of the Central Indiana RR at Brazil: "Your brother, HM Robertson was accidentally shot here Thursday morning and died. Signed Mr. White, Hardesty, Alberta, Canada." - kbz
